Abstract Sculpture

Abstract Sculpture, which is inspired by the Japanese word 'Komorebi' meaning “the scattered light that filters through when sunlight shines through trees”. This project involved drilling into three different types of wood and experimenting with various lighting techniques to reflect the essence of the word.
This project showcases the innovative use of wood materials in sculptural art. By exploring the varied use of woods and different sized holes, the project challenges the traditional perception of wood as a masculine material, offering a more feminine perspective on sculpture. The project aims to push the boundaries of artistic representation and provoke new interpretations of form and material.
